Teton Pass web cam

John, I always check all the web cams every day.
I have a question about the Teton Pass web cam.
Why are all the cars parked there.
Are they there for hiking(which I doubt) or cross country skiing ( which I think it is)

alot people work in Jackson Wyo and live over in Idaho so this is a comute pk lot plus people do park and go ski\snowboard up there

In the wintertime, all the cars are either skiers or snowboarders. There is a boot-pack trail directly across the highway from the parking lot. That trail takes you to the top of Mt. Glory. From the top, there are several routes down. Takes about an hour to hike up with skies on your back...and about 7 minutes to get down!! It's quite a workout....it's called "earning your turns".

Other peaks are also accessible from the parking lot, but they accessed by "skinning".

Locals consider Teton Pass Jackson's third ski area.
