There's been a lot of them, some funny, and some downright scare the bejesus out of you.

I'd have to go with the Exorcist.
Things I hadn't seen or heard before, and since.

There are many that get your blood pumping, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Children of the Corn, Childs Play (Chucky) and on and on. Halloween I think is probably at the top of the list.
