66 and strong south wind here! Worst winter for the past 30 some years for me. Hardly any frost in the ground all winter, and we needed a deep driving frost line for sure. no good!

So sick of winter myself...bring on summer!

Washed up the sleds today..I’ll spend the next couple weeks deciding which sled to snowcheck- that’s always fun!

Not quite as warm here as they forecasted yesterday, called for mid to high 60's. We are about 56 here in mid MN.
guess it will be nice to get back to work and get some full paychecks.

I put on 186 miles Saturday, Twin Lakes to Ontonogon, to Rockland, Bruce Crossing, Sidnaw, Rousseau, Greenland, back to Twin Lakes. It was awesome. 20200307_101732.jpg

The Robins are back. It was sunny and 65 degrees yesterday. The wife and I took the Miata out, dropped the top, turned off the nav and tried to get lost on the Wisconsin alphabet roads. Wound up in Potosi for burgers and root beer. :encouragement:
Heck, shortly after our mid February snowmo trip, I already had the batteries out of the sleds and installed them back in the motorcycles.

Yeah, we had Robins in the yard on Sunday. Would've taken the Spyder out for a spin but haven't added the insurance back on yet.

Just the same, I'm fully expecting a couple of snow storms this month and next. It happens almost every year.

Skylar, I was gonna come up this weekend to Krupps. Is there enough snow to play off trail? Will the trails still be pretty descent? Dalton wants to get a few hours on his new sled.
Thanks Tony

There is enough to play off trail for sure, but, I don't know if it's going to be concrete snow or not? Plenty of snow on the trails. Some spots that are exposed to the brunt of the sun will be bare, but I do not think there will be a lot of those.

Vilas is closing state trails Friday. Plus other counties in Wisconsin have closed. A UP trip is out of the picture for me so not only has the fat-lady sung, but the curtain is lowering. Time to order parts and prep the sleds for next year.

Forest county is not closing till Monday. There trails normally hold up pretty good. Tons of woods and not near the traffic Vilas gets. They also don't groom as often leaving more snow on the trails.

Not sure what I am smoking. But from my experience especially in Wisconsin trails that get groomed every day no matter the temp the trails loose some of there base. Trails that don't get groomed every night seem to maintain more of there base. I am not a grooming expert by no means just what I have noticed. Perhaps it comes more down to groomer operators then the grooming itself.
