Yamaha has donated the their last sled off the line [I believe it is an SRX SXR? I'll see it this Friday] It's right now on auction with a $105,000 bid. Bidding will close this Saturday with the announcement of who purchased it revealed at the Snowmobile Hall of Fame banquet Saturday evening. The money will be going to various non-profits including the Hall of Fame in St Germain and Hall of Fame at the Derby Track. Heavy hitters bidding on this! Guess it wont be me getting it, lol. BTW, for any Yamaha riders, This Friday at the Snowmobile Hall of Fame, there is a Yamaha ride. You must be registered. If interested, call the Hall 715-542-4463. Fish fry Friday night.

There's an article in the current Wisconsin Snowmobile News of this machine. It comes with a real nice display case/crate.
And at over a hundred grand, it certainly is "priceless".

Gary, there's some extra "bling" that I got to see that also goes with it. Excited to see it this Friday. I doubt it, but I might get to announce the winner.

Yeah, well, Yamaha engines in snowmobiles is in the past, gone. The days of misfit, unbalanced, poor handling snowmobiles are over. $20K plus for that? I don't think so when there is more than likely something all new, and by far better coming in all probabilities? I feel that's where Textron, AC really dropped the ball, by not producing their very own, all AC 4 stroke purpose built snowmobile. Seems the market was there. Imo, whoever buys AC will surely utilize AC's own in house engine production capabilities, which are state of the art. And that is a very big piece of the prize pie, 2 stroke, or 4 stroke. Please buyer come forward soon.

Wouldn't be the first time. They've had some fired/laid off people come back in on their own time to get engine mapping, etc. straightened out. There's a lot of blame to go around but there are some good people that care about that brand, regardless of how little textron has been willing to put into it.

Mapping was what I would suspect too hopefully not in vain.
