I finally figured out how to get on this awesome discussion board & wanted to say a few things.

First off, I want to say how much fun this winter has been so far. Thank you for supporting Andy & I in this new venture.We will do our best to keep the Mosquito a fun bar & restaurant to visit. Over the course of the last 8 years we have learned alot about the area & fell in love with The Mosquito Inn & we hope you will too.

I would also like to say thank you to Don & Donna Jarman for working with us & working for us. Their support has meant so much. They took that bar to a level that we hope to expand upon.
You will see alot of the same faces on the floor & some new ones this year. We are so fortunate to have staff that love their work place.

New to The Mosquito Inn for snow mobile season only....
Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
9am - 12pm Biscuits & Gravy, Bloodys mixed by Nate with chasers, & delicious hot chocolate concoctions
Friday & Saturday Nights
The kitchen will now be open full menu until 10PM
Appetizers on those two nights until midnight
We also have homemade desserts in house now...yummy!

Last but not least, I have alot of wall space to fill.
One of my ideas is to have all the group riders, families, friends who love the bug, email me photos of your groups & I will have them up on the walls shortly. If you have photos of crazy stunts Ill hang some of those too.

Welcome to the board Shelie! You know you've got a lot of friends and regulars here and you guys are doing a great job already, it will be fun to see how you make the "Bug Bar" yours over the upcoming years. See you in a couple weeks!

Welcome to the board! Which do you think is better, two strokes or four strokes?

But seriously, thank you so much for hosting the Make-A-Wish sled. As I've mentioned in posts elsewhere, this is a big commitment on your part and it is so important. I'd be hard pressed to think of a location in the area where the sled could be seen by more people. Now about that crabby cook.....

We've driven by a hundred times and have heard nothing but good about the bug. It's time for us to stop in. We have a couple more ventures to the UP this season and will make it a point to stop and say hi. Good luck in your new venture.

Glad you made a post on John Dee. We love the Bug Bar. You have a great attitude and been learning how to run a place from two of the best, Don and Donna. Will see all of you again this Thursday. Tell Patty to practice making the bacon, we want pics. Have fun with your new place.

Thank you so much everyone! This should be alot of fun!
We are more than happy to help John with any fundraisers he has now or in the future. What a great cause to support & an awesome prize to win. That snow mobile would look great cruising in my fields with a trailer for the kids.
Crabby cook....priceless. I think I may have to get Don a shirt with a crabby Mosquito swedish chef on it...now that would be epic! love you Don!!!

I love the Bug! Always a great time and good food.

Now, if I could get you folks to hang up some more Packers memorabilia and lose some of the Bears items, we would be all set! 😉

uve nver heard nothing good about the bug bar? what have you heard bad? thats insane..place rocked under don and donna(who sre still working there) and will continue under shelly and andy..gotta stop in bro...

Great place and the food is outstanding. I stop in every time i'm up there. Shelie, I noticed you had Fire Department shirts the last time I was up there, I was wondering if you would like to hang a Police shirt on the wall in the same area.

Welcome to the site Shelie, congrats again on bug ownership. We met you over the holidays and always enjoy ourselves at the bug bar.....

I have one question though, what kind of oil does the crabby cook use in the kitchen? S&S is always on sale somewhere..........
