I always knew Make A Wish was a great cause and was thrilled to see they are the beneficiaries of the Ride In proceeds. What I didn't know was how far above and beyond they go to make ordinary days special for families.
Two classmates from high school are living a parents worst nightmare, their 4 year old son has brain cancer. The road to remission started with the removal of an 8cm (baseball size) mass that is not only malignant but also very rare (less than 1% of brain cancers are this type) and very aggressive. They chose to treat Connor in Memphis at St. Jude's, a long way from the Chicago suburbs they call home. Connor did great during his 6 weeks of radiation treatment and came home for a month to recoup and get ready for high dose chemo starting next week. The family leaves for St. Jude's today. This is how Make A Wish sent them off last night.

Please keep Connor in your thoughts and prayers and thank you for supporting Make A Wish.
