Probably.
My guess is it will hit 60 in Green Bay Thursday and 50 in the U.P. with pouring rain. Until that passes I have to sit back and wait.

You may be better off in S.D. as it's only 10 hours for you.

Slim, reading your original post brought back the memory of the Black Hills blizzard of 98. Just to make sure my recollection was fairly accurate, I looked it up. Sure enough, I was pretty close.

In 5 days (Feb. 25 through Mar. 1), Lead got 115" of snow. If my math is correct, that's just a hair over 9 1/2 ft. of snow. We were riding out there the week before and only missed getting caught in this storm by a couple of days. It would have been something to see first-hand.

Really need to get back out there some day. When the snow is good, it's hard to beat the Black Hills.

by pure luck we got in on that storm-we were headed to the big horns but -I-90 was closed at Spearfish- we got a room quick and rode there all week- groomers could not get through the trials till mid-week-it was amazing-I had the latest mountain sled- a cougar mountain cat- 550cc, 136 track with .92 lugs!

That storm occurred while I was still working at Polaris and two of my co workers and I were heading that way as soon as we heard about it. It was crazy amounts of snow in places but also riding in 40 degrees everyday so it was soft. Had a great time. I've been to the black hills 4 times and its always been great riding.

Black Hills is ALL OVER THE PLACE in the winter when it comes to snowfall and temp swings. Only plan a trip there if you’re leaving within the week. Really neat place to ride though.
