I didn't think it'd come to this but it has.

CHICAGO (CBS) — Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announced Sunday afternoon that all restaurants and bars in Illinois will be closed effective at the end of the business day on Monday, continuing through March 30, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

COLUMBUS (KDKA) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that he will be issuing an order to close all restaurants and bars beginning at 9:00 p.m. Sunday night.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Public health officials are placing an even stricter limit on the number of people allowed at any mass gathering in Dane County. On Sunday, Public Health Madison & Dane County banned all gatherings with more than 50 people as they try to stem the spread of COVID-19 through the community effective 12:01 a.m. Grocery stores are excluded from the order.
Additionally, they said 22 school districts within the county would close immediately.

Here in Wisconsin you can still get a drink and a hot meal but it looks like we may be following our neighbors to the south. Let's hope they keep the liquor stores open or we'll have riots in the streets!

I heard and I will not be surprised that we will be next, the same governor who ordered restaurants and bars to close is complaining of the back log and treatment of people who still choose to travel. I wish someone would explain when it was travel that brought it here to begin with, why are businesses being ordered to close yet travel is being continued to be allowed and now they are going to triple if not more the amount of federal, tsa and customs agents presence at air ports... am i missing something? we are closing schools but opening community meal centers... ummm ok and this makes sense how? Oh but there will be low interest loans available to small businesses, if you are being ordered to close how about no interest loans, how long will this process take for the business owner, expenses are a constant and they dont care what is going on in this world, I am waiting for this to happen here, this is getting out of hand, what will be next... but hey you want to travel... go ahead, cant go to the bar or grab a burger but you can go to the bahammas and then complain about the wait at airports but we will do what we can to make that easier for you.

Closing restaurants, bars, eating establishments will only lead to more people that are already panic buying. It is a sad new norm that has developed in the course of 3 weeks. People just need to RELAX........(Maybe Aaron Rodgers could speak tot he Nation?) Even the President has said this today. I don't think people know how to cook anymore, but they sure are worried about wiping their azzes, aren't they? I looked around our house and we have enough to live on for about 3 weeks, if everyone else did this I think it might be the same.

I have really had it with this behavior, I am heading to the cabin on Monday to hopefully live in a little bit of normalcy. Fortunately we own a small business that has not been affected by this yet and we agreed to not travel until this madness has subsided. My daughters wedding cruise plans have been cancelled and I think they will join us for what was going to be a week in the Caribbean up at the cabin and they are so looking forward to it. They to just want to get away from it all. They live in Naperville, IL and are in the Healthcare Industry as well as my wife so just trying to practice cleanliness and put this behind us.

Stay well everyone!

Yeah, well, it's like spraying pesticides, it's all about concentration. As Dirty Harry said, "Do you feel lucky"?

I agree with you....I also would not be surprised if the Clinton's and the mob went to China with a strain of the regular flu that was Corona variation and did all this with the Chinese because of the tariffs and the dems to ruin the economy since they couldn't get trump impeached....the dems are so corrupt now they will never be back in power until people our age are 80 years old...the regular flu has killed 22,000 people in the last 3 months and nary a word...and miraculously they lost the Epstein tapes....lol....see ya dems ya corrupt mothers....we the majority are not dumb and see thru you

They are using a cold to effectively shut down our US economy in the name of a crisis to get back into power....Sorry JD but political or not....ppl need to speak out.
The CDC isn't telling any businesses that it is necessary to be shutting down.

The lawsuits at the end of this will be endless.

And if this stands ...we are all doomed to revolt.

Here in the U.P. charter flights to Laughlin are a big deal under normal circumstances. The charters fly out of CMX non stop to Laughlin, and they often sell out within a few hours. I'm scheduled to be on one of these upcoming flights, but most likely I'm going to cancell. It will only cost me $50 to cancell since it is a comped flight.

A big deal?
Well I guess so, the March 31 flight is already booked solid — all 93 seats sold out!

I’ve been to (click ) Laughlin/Bullhead City International Airport (IFP) and Don Laughlin’s Riverside Hotel and Casino, but I woulda never guessed it was such a big thing in da UP, from (click ) Houghton County (CMX), no less! :indecisiveness:

I was thinking the same thing. This is totally out of hand. I have no problem encouraging people to lay low for some time if it's possible, but to mandate the closing of a business when we have had much more severe situations in the not too distant past (H1N1) and all was fine....I just don't get it. I feel like I'm missing something.

I"m a business owner effected by this prickster (thanks skyler) mandate and will have to be dealing with this tomorrow. This is nuts
