How is it? Any info on the area would really be of help? Trail info? Lodging info? Best places to eat? Best place to rent sleds from? Mountain riding info? I was thinking of using Mom's motorsports to get there too? Anyone used them yet? Thanks for any and all help in advance!
How is it? Usually some of the best riding out west. Steep, Deep and lots of areas to explore.
Trail info? The main trail system IN Cooke is a small loop with switch backs right up the mountain from town, taking you directly to the play areas. The loop is less than 30 miles but, the play areas are huge. Beyond that, the other 'trail' area is jog out of Cooke to the south and into Wyoming. This is another 30-50 miles of riding trial. This route is used to get out to another super vast play area.
The best place to eat? The Bear Claw Bakery for breakfast. For dinner, Terry from the Bear Claw normally closed during the evenings but, prepares us home-style gourmet meals during our stay.
Best place to rent from? Bear Claw Bob will be the most affordable, with Cats for around 180 per day last season. There are also brand now Poo, Doos and a Yammy or two at the other places down the street. Cooke City Exon would be a good place to check.
