Call me "Mr Sunny Skies" or "Mr glass is half full", but as a die hard Blackhawk fan for the past 40-45 years or so. Having to live through all the disappointments of the past, I was just hoping to see them raise the cup once in my lifetime and they have succeeded in doing it in 3 of the past 6 years! A true dynasty in the post-salary cap era. A ton of that success has to be chalked up to Scotty B and the rest of the front office (especially when "Dollar Bill" passed).
There is no question that the Stanley Cup is THE hardest trophy to win in any professional sporting activity and what this team has done in the past 6 years is nothing short of magical.
Someone has to win and someone has to lose. What's wrong with giving St Louis a pat on the back for a hard fought series and look forward to more future years of success from this team while it lasts?
Or perhaps everyone on the internet is an expert and I should just shut up!
