When I use the "New Posts" feature, I typically see several threads with their titles in bold, and after viewing the new posts, on another pass, the ones in which I have already viewed all new posts are no longer bold. That seems to be a useful and reasonable indicator that I have seen all the new posts in those threads.
However, there is the occasional thread whose title does not exhibit this behavior, but remains bold, whether I have seen all the new posts or not. To wit: Official John Dee Snow Central Family Thread #166 (31,752). 'Tis just a wee bit annoying to click on that thread only to find nothing "new" there at all.
Explanation?
(Passing observation: After entering this note, I did the "New Posts" thing again, the although it was the first time this item was shown, the title was not bold. Forum must have figured that since I posted the item, I'd already seen it, eh?)
