Thunder snow!!!

Rocked out of bed this morning at 3:30 am by thunder snow!!!

I was out in it when the thunder snow started around here. It is really odd to see a bright flash when it is snowing. As soon as the lightning started the snow fall picked up a huge amount. I don't think I have ever seen it snow so hard and then when you add the wind to it it was amazing. I have ridden in many blizzards over the years but nothing as bad as this.

It's happened here a couple of times over the years. Always awesome to see and hear.

It did not last long but the snow was at least the 2 inch an hour snowfall. Very cool and only my third time. My wife was not happy I let her sleep through it.
