Yesterday was a beautiful bright, warm sunny day, and as I was walking to the corner store to get myself a nice cold tall boy barley pop to help the painting go easier, all I could think about was how much I wished I was on a sled. Motorcycles were riding by in the streets, but in my mind they sounded like sleds. I guess I've officially lost it.

One plus to having my sleds at home in the garage for the first time.

I can go out there, no matter the temp, fire 'em up, close my eyes and ..........

Just don't breathe too hard. It's not good for you. Oh, and it pisses my wife off to no end! That's the best part!

Summer Sucks!

Ya all need to live in Duluth. Today at work, right down in the harbor area it was 52. Got home in Cloquet and it was 85. For once I'd rather work late!

Yeah, mine are still at home too, got some things to do to them before I summerize. At this rate, I guess the question is "IF" I summerize.

But on the contrary, I think my GF enjoys the 2-stroke smell more than I do!

To [sic] Hot (Like to Phoenix?) Well no, actually that's "Too Hot". :)

I don't often indulge in double posting, but this note seems more appropriate here than where I first posted it. That and of course I'm gloating! :)

So that's where the hot weather went!

Except for a brief two hours (2-4PM, MST) on Friday during which we very briefly hit a peak of 101°F (but with the humidity between 7-8%), we haven't otherwise seen high temps over 100°F so far this year in Phoenix, AZ! Yesterday's high was 79°F, and the forecast high for today: 81-82°F! Then back to the mid to high 90s through June 2! This is almost unheard of.

Historically, the earliest recorded 100°F day was on March 26, and all but 10 days in April have recorded high temperatures of 100°F or more, as well as every day in May, including highs at or above 110°F in nine days in May (Up to a max recorded high of 114°F on one occasion on May 30).

Not that I'm complaining! :)
Knock on wood.

Or maybe it was a Shakespearean question "To hot, or not to hot, that is the question."

To hot or not to hot– that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The outrageous heat and humidity,
Or to take arms against the heat
With a cold gin and tonic at the local bar

Too Much, Too Soon!

Yesterday, here in the Keweenaw, I registered a Temp of 95 with a Dew Point of 102!!! This is the first time in 15 years of setting up a pool that I have been able to put it up this early. Not only that, the water temp went from 50 to 70 in 24 hours. Not liking this crap at all, Time to plant myself in front of the air conditioner, cause it's gonna be another ugly one today.-Mezz

I had 95 on the outside temp in my truck at work yesterday. I think watching the 208 Productions video in the Misc. section helps.

hey my tomatoe [sic] plants love the heat send it my way got to have heat to eat and this person LOVES to eat :p
So you're a graduate of the Dan Quayle school o' spellin'? :p
His most famous blunder occurred when he corrected student William Figueroa's correct spelling of "potato" to "potatoe" at an elementary school spelling bee in Trenton, New Jersey, on June 15, 1992.[15][16] Although he was relying on cards provided by the school which included the misspelling, Quayle was widely lambasted for his apparent inability to spell the word "potato".

If yer gonna screw up yer "to" and yer "too", then mebby ya ought "too" write it thus :p:
To hot or not to hot (or "to Phoenix or to Tucson?) – that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind too suffer
The outrageous heat and humidity,
Or too take arms against the heat
With a cold gin and tonic at the local bar
