Today's journal, June 28, 2020 "Summertime".
… So after a nice Fathers Day breakfast of bacon and Pannukakku (Finnish Pancake and is 100 times more delicious that it sound correctly or incorrectly pronounced!) …

You really know how ta live, don'cha?

Now you've done it John, ya gots me craving sum Pannukakku! — at 5 o'clock in da afternoon, no less! And ya can hardly make enough for just one serving; more like enough for three or four hungry folks! Although I've done a whole recipe, it's a bit like Lay's potato chips "Betcha can't eat just one" (serving, that is, followed by a sugar whammy).

I certainly miss your journal when you skip a week. My week is just not complete without a Sunday (or maybe Monday) visit with the Dee family in da Keweenaw!

Wearing my Walter Mitty hat today,

and reliving my days on da family farm north o' Bruce Crossing makin' firewood (and pulpwood too).

Even while wearing my Walter Mitty hat, I think that Pannukakku scores better than the (click→) "Walter Mitty Clementine Cake" though. :biggrin-new:(Recipe included.)

Glad you liked the mention. First time I ever saw it, it did not look very good, but braved it and took my first bite and have put it at the top of my breakfast list since.

Nora makes some fantastic Pannukakku! Even has a special stone pan for it!

There was a restaurant maybe it was a chain even that had Pannukakku on the menu. When they brought it out to the table the waitress' would all sing a song. I was a youngster but I remember it. Anyone else??
