We did get just short of 5 inches today, after getting an inch overnight...and its still snowing as of 945 pm...I took a little ride to check out the trails, and they look real good...some had even been groomed already...I was really starting to think the storm was a bust as it didn't really start today until 130pm...but it really came hard for about 4 hours....and we didnt get but an inch monday night...though just west of minocqua, near flambeau got 4...and even more today...my moms place in flambeau had 9 to 10 inches...and the further north, and northwest u go from there..the more there is....the Hiawatha was down to mud and gravel Sunday with our warm temps...however.. it's white again, and looking good....and she's been groomed ...I'll ride it into town tomorrow morning, and check it out further.....its nine above right now, and Temps are supposed to remain below average through saturday...so the trails should hold up...its gonna be a great weekend of riding...it would have been nice to get the 12 plus inches...but we'll take what we got, it really helped the trails out.....better enjoy them now...looks like a warm up next week (30s)
Btw...be careful on the lakes...lots of idiots out ice fishing, and they are plowing roads everywhere...even through the snowmobile trails...ive never seen it like this...its bad AND..there is alot of drifts out there...caught some air tonight unexpectedly..didnt see it...landed straight, and all good...but I almost pooped my bibs...lol...so stay close to the barrels, and markers, and take it easy out there.
