This could get interesting....

MADISON, Wis. - The Tavern League of Wisconsin is calling on Gov. Tony Evers to allow taverns, restaurants and supper clubs to reopen on May 1.

That date is 25 days ahead of the expiration of the Safer at Home order which prohibits customers from dining in at restaurants and bars during the coronavirus outbreak. Last week, Gov. Evers extended the order from April 24 to May 26.

"The safety of our customers and employees is the most important factor moving forward," reads a statement from the Tavern League of Wisconsin. "Without protecting their safety, we have no viable business. Today, many businesses are open and safely serving the public. We can learn from those businesses and create a responsible, safe model for a soft reopening of Wisconsin’s taverns, restaurants and supper clubs on May 1."

The Tavern League of Wisconsin laid out these goals for a May 1 reopening of bars and restaurants:

• Effective May 1
• All employees required to wear masks and gloves
• Practice social distancing of 6 feet
• All tables 6 feet apart
• No tables of more than 6 people
• Reduce on premise capacity by 50%
• Outdoor eating and drinking with 6 feet distancing permitted
• No salad bars or self-serve buffets
• Eliminate paper menus
• Eliminate all table condiments

So what do you think?

I was thinking (prior to this post) that those rules will most likely be the standard when bars and restaurants are allowed to open.
It should be implemented now, open these establishments up.
Not only in Wi.

i wish them the best of luck, but they’ll have a up hill battle with the Gov. It would be going against what his constituents want. Check out his Facebook, it’ll make you gag. They’re calling him (brave) for locking down the state another month. I think I’ll go have a beer.

Cause and Effect

(WFRV) – Wisconsin State Patrol is reporting a higher concentration of speeding and reckless driving despite there being fewer cars on the road due to the Safer At Home order.

State Patrol Sergeant Andrew Hyer is reminding motorists, “Slow down, don’t drink and drive, think about what our hospitals are going through right now. They don’t need anymore emergencies right now like car crash victims.”

Sergeant Hyer says that when a trooper does have to pull someone over, they wear extra protective gear and maintain a safe distance.

A bit of Irony here, Covid took the life of Joe Diffie recently. Here's Joe singing about this craziness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlAa0IGCXCw

My buddy was doing 15 over a couple of weeks ago, got pulled over, state patrol walked up, stood 6 feet away, and told him to slow it down, no ticket.

Hospitals are hurting bad for business right now. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

OPEN THEM UP,....and get them out of the big box stores where they come in to "feel normal' amidst alla this bullschit.

I am face to face with 5 times more customers on an everyday basis than ever before with this fake "kill trump" pandemic.

stay home ppl ...you don't need a 3rd, 4th or 5th set a shelves in your garage or basements.

you also got enough fertilizer, seed, plants and mulch as well as paint to last you through a nuclear attack.

As of today the average age of covid related death in MN is 83. Look it up. Not kidding. So how is this worth the price if shutting everything down? The economy has been destroyed for nothing. And we have an 8 year old - Trump - in charge. We have the option of electing a senile geezer instead. God help us.
