Tunnel of trees made the top 10.....great list better than the normal blah blah top 10 list with going to sun as #1 "great rd but no way a top 10" when they get roads like Rt 12 lolo pass then they will have the best list....tunnel of trees? really....great rd but not a top 10 not even a top 20....no pull offs to look at lake, short, slower curves did I say short? I belive H58 is a better fit for a top 10 list......what your thoughts?

Done 3 of them. Blue ridge, Tail of the dragon and M119. I like H58 but the color in October the tunnel of trees is sweet. Spent 4 years at Bragg. Not sure what HWY20 is. More info?

was out plowing with the wheeler tonight and got to thinking about this thread.......soo what makes a top 10 road???IMO the road it self is what I came for the views are second.......I love long twisty with stream and deep valleys....rt 12 lolo pass from lolo to orofino Id is a clear winner for me.....this is another well kept off the 10 ten list secrets. found this by surfing the bike forums, 146 miles pure bliss raging water to your left and long sweeping curves and you're deep in the valley floor..I willtry and find a good picture

You stopped at Astoria? You missed the best part of the northern coast! :D

Which easily links into my earlier map :)

I was looking to route up there and then come south but we had too much planned and had to cut some stuff and that one made the cutting room floor.......really wanted to see that area but we wanted to get Ca out the way....I belive i will be going back to Wa,Or on the bikes as that was way better than CA......loved 4wheeling on the white sands of Or........

Pics from bear tooth pass last year. Had to take the enduro because the wife "adjusted" my cruiser bike.

Looks like a great route. My buddy and I rode our enduros up to Anchorage/Juneau and back from the Chicago area in the 90s. It was a great time even though it was foggy or raining half the time, And we needed to sleep more than a few times outside in our rain gear because we couldn't get rooms. Its a tale to tell my grandkids, and from looking at Google maps, it seems conditions have improved greatly but 20 years later if you asked me to ride 8000 miles in a few weeks again, I think I'd pass. I need to scan the photos from that trip someday.
