What are your thoughts good or bad? I think it is good because if it were up to the DNR to choose a secretary instead of a governor, there would always be a "progressive" secretary that would kill Wisconsin industry and business because of their strict regulations. The last DNR secretary was a former member of the Sierra Club (the most liberal environmental club that wants conservation of land but nobody to use it). If the Assembly voted yes those types of DNR secretaries would be in charge of the DNR for a long time. There would be no secretary that would appeal to Wisconsin business and sportsman.
