Now that we're in August, I really notice how much shorter the days are than they were in late June and early July. The evening shadows are getting long and yesterday and this morning there was a touch of fall in the air. I really get giddy once we get to fall. This morning: 36F in Embarrass, MN; 37 in Crane Lake, MN; 38 in Hibbing, MN; and 39F in International Falls, MN. 44F in Hayward, WI as well.

Giddy is the best word I could think of to describe how I feel about the cooler temps!

38 degrees in Leota, Michigan this morning!
What do you folks think, it seems like every time it rained in MN this summer it was 2 to 4 inches of rain. Will high moisture precip continue into the winter??? I know it's wishful thinking, but I want another winter like last year WITHOUT the warm temps and rain between Christmas and new years!!!
