tow or ride more miles??

OK< so I have been having very poor snow yrs here
and I know for a fact I have been towing my sled a LOT more miles than I have been putting on sled
how many others are in this same deal??

I am logging on about 7 miles on truck/trailer for every mile on sled? LOL

I know we all don't live in a snow belt and can ride from home, so??
how many miles a yr you tow to ride?

I show about 3.5 miles in the truck per 1 mile on the sled for me, so not doing awful I suppose. I live a long ways away (almost 1000 miles one way... I’m a glutton for punishment for the Keweenaw), so when I’m there it’s gotta be more than a weekend trip.

I never thought of it that way mrbb. Interesting for sure. However, we have always planned the trip to be a longer stay the further we had to travel to get where ever we were going. As we say, have sleds, will travel! It gets expensive, but I can't quit!

We always have the goal that the mileage to get to our destination should at least equal the amount ridden. Thus a 2/1 ratio goal. Don't always get it, but typically do.

I always felt the same way, farther I drive/tow, the longer I want to stay there to make it seem like I got my moneys worth and a chance to enjoy a new place and see as much as I can there!

I guess its also a reason (some help to justify maybe) why so many guys spend big bucks on there tow vehicle's, as they also log a lot of seat time in them too, or I know I do LOL
heated seats have been very nice on my sore back on way home and or there over the yrs! ! HAHA!

I put 510 miles on my car every weekend driving to the yoop, and about 65-70 on the sled.

Yeah I'm at like a 10-1 ratio on miles at least. I off trail ride, so if you factor hrs in a truck vrs hrs riding, its probably even more stupid! Like I've said before....it takes a special kinda stupid to be a snowmobiler. Regardless...."I can't quit you baby"! ......Lol
