Toyota Tundra Timing Belt

So I've got over 110,000 on my Tundra and need to replace the timing belt. I have a quote for a hair over $400. Seems a little high but have another one for $789. Anyone have theirs done?
Thanks in advance.

I have never done a timing belt on a Toyota tundra but have done one on a Subaru and know that a few things can change the price by a large amount. I would recommend changing the tining belt idlers as well as the water pump if driven by the timing belt that could be the reason for the differance in price.
Like I said I have never done a Tundra but just wanted to give you somethings to think about.
Hope it helps

timong belt

I just had my timing belt done at 95000 mi. The timing belt was like new but the water pump was leaking. Had the job done for 800 and brand new antifreeze. These trucks will run over 300000 mi if matained

That's what I'm hoping. I've had pretty good luck with this one so far with just doing routine maintenance. The most expensive items I've put on it were tires, brakes and shocks - all normal. Oh, and a rear bumper - the wife.

I have had to change 2 o2 sensors My tundra is a 2001 xtra cab limited.I use mobile 1 oil change every 7000 mi. Love the truck size power reliable.Look and runs as good as the day I bought it. I tow my 2 place trailer and onr in the bed all the time. I get 13 mi per gal towing. Last year coming from the UP I got 15 driving 60

Have had Camry's and changed them at 100k and the $5-$600 range is right in there. Ditto on the water pump also as sometimes they come in a kit/combo. Have a Honda Pilot and do the same thing. Great vehicles with impressive resale even at 150-200k miles.

I jsut have a regular cab with the V6. Bought it in 2004 and paid it off in 2 years. It doesn't owe me a dime and has done a lot more then I ever expected out of it. Next one will be the full size.

X2 on the Camry. I sold my last one for $2,000. It was a 1993 with $215,000 on it. Little to no rust and the engine was still going strong. It even pulled my 14ft fishing boat and a 2 place sled trailer. I've got a picture of that somewhere.
