Just wanting to know what is the best thing to use to clean the inside of the clutch to get all the dust and grim out. And where is the best place to buy rebuild kits fot a TRA clutch for a 1997 Skidoo mxz670. Any help would be great.

Thanks Later Joe

There is not really much to re-build in them. Replace the buttons if they are worn, rollers on the arms if they look worn, and a new spring thats not sacked out would help. Check the ramps, they should be fine unless the rollers locked up and wore through the case hardening, then the ramps would look all mushroomed over and worn. Clutch faces can be cleaned up with a scotch brite pad, if your careful, while its running. Inside, belt dust and gunk, just a grease removing type solvent is ok. When done, spray it out with brake cleaner to get any residue left over from getting on the belt.

Best thing to clean them with is soap and water only. Anything else will leave residue. Clean em good with hot soapy water, rinse and blow off with air gun. As far as rebuild, unless you want to put a clutch kit in it pretty much limited to doo. Goodwin makes a real good clutch kit for it. i have heard good things about MCB also. How many miles on that machine?? Those tra's were (and are) pretty good clutchs and take a while to wear out. Check your rollers over real good for no side play or up and down play and roundness. Ramps and everything else has pretty much been covered in other post.
