Track Question

You will have less issues in marginal snow with fully clipped, no rubber running on the hyfax. Yamaha switched the Vector from every 3rd to full clipped for 2010, I believe for this reason.

There is a slight weight penalty for fully clipped, more metal.

Replacing the clips will take 3 times as long if you ever have to do it......

I would go with fully clipped, if you ever want to run extrovert drivers it's mandatory.

Depends on the sled. If you care about top end more than anything else the less the track weighs the better. Ounces do add up. There is a difference in top end between identical sleds if one has 96 studs and the other has 144. If this does not matter to you and you are more concerned about lube then go for the open windows. I have never replaced clips on a track. If the clips are shot the rest of the track can't be far behind. Not worth the time or energy to re-do clips. New tracks are not that expensive.
