rode that trail twice this past weekend and always took it easy over those whoops as you never know what is on the other side and we are not out snowcrossing it up and trying to catch air. sad to hear and thoughts go out to them and all the families.

very unfortunate, regardless of why, someone is dead and that people is a bad day. Time to pray for those associated with the guy.

It doesn't say anything about alcohol in the article.

Sad to see another death. My heart goes out to his family.

But this should be a reminder to us all that these are not toys and we need to use our heads. I just about got it Sat near Big Bay when a kid playing in the hollow decided to hill climb up onto the trail at a 90 degree angle accross the trail.

And the excuse that always cracks me up is, "I could not see the woop or ruts because of the flat light and that is what caused me to wreck". Not going too fast for conditions or ability.

Prayers to those involved, awful no matter what the circumstances.

I have read this thread over and over and was not going to comment, but I cannot keep my big mouth shut as usual. I think it is wrong to assume it was booze and speed, why not refrain until all the facts come in. Yes, accidents caused by the above mentioned happen more often than not but out of consideration for the people involved I think I'd wait to give my opinion. I know if I were involved and the booze and speed were not the case and I saw accusations being made I'd be upset. Accidents non related to booze and speed can & do happen. We need to ride safe and ride smart plain and simple, for safety and the future of our sport.

Being unfamiliar with the area and trails can also play a big factor, as well as changing trail conditions.

Thoughts & prayers to the family and friends.
