trail 109 re-opening?

Anyone have an update on trail 109 re-opening from Krupps down to Sidnaw this season ?
There was an earlier post that mentioned Superior Club was working on the northern section to the power lines...
The southern portion from Alston to the 8/15 junction is Baraga's I believe.

TRAIL #109 OPENING HAS BEEN CANCELED​

11-18-22: The Superior Snowmobile Club was notified by the DNR that the temporary re-route proposed to get Trail #109 opened north of Alston has been declined. The Houghton County Road Commission will not allow the 1 mile stretch of Alston Avenue from North Laird road south to Cadeau Road to be used; it's surface or it's shoulder. This will now prevent us from opening and grooming the north section of this trail from Twin Lakes to Alston again this season. We are deeply disappointed in this decision.

The Bum Baraga NO Groomers have never upheld their portion of trail 109 in a responsible way. Never! Many times, in many years, not even attempting to GROOM from Alston to the power lines, even when conditions where good to groom. The power lines is the turn around point where they meet Superior Snowmobile Club portion of trail 109! Very sad, but true!
