Hi guys & gals,

Our club saw a 100% turnover of the BOD in may 2016. We have worked hard to mend relations since then with local vendors and landowners. Success finally found our efforts, Keweenaw Land Association Limited as approved our request to reopen this trail. We have about $10,000 worth of work to do on it (we have a beaver dam 6' high, 3-tiered system) but we expect full funding from MIDNR to execute the work.

To get to Lake Gogebic you will now have Trail 2 from Ironwood (Feeds Trail 8), Trail 11S from Winchester & Trail 1.

We desperately need help to sign and brush our trails in the U.P.. Please join a club and plan a trip this fall. Our club will have FREE LODGING to able body volunteers who drive in. More details to come. March 25th we had 11 people from 4 states roll in to prep trail 11S for major brushing, we are excited to alleviate the burden of trail 1 access to Lake Gogebic!

Please follow us on Facebook or web - www.GogebicRangeTA.org

Thanks -Steve Hamilton - President@Gogebicrangeta.org

Be sure to post some info about your clean-up weekend as soon as you have some dates set. It's always a great time getting out in the woods with a group of people getting some work done. Hope you can get some extra help from everyone following you here.

This is outstanding to hear. As a club president I know the work that's involved year around. We ride your trails several weeks each winter and cannot wait to see 11S and 160 back open. I will watch here and on your Facebook status with "work weekend" updates and if we can we will try to lend a hand(s).

We did light brushing and hand worked a few spots deep in the woods on Saturday. We also have the trail 75% signed as of Saturday. We still need to complete a few projects to allow the groomer to make it through which we should have our funding in less than a month. We have about 4 members doing all the work and need support to continue our progress. Would be an absolute shame to have all permissions signed but unable to find folks to put the sweat equity in. We are 100% volunteer group - NO ONE is paid.

We need more members to help finishing the brushing and signing. Please let us know your available weekends - email me President@GogebicRangeTA.org with your available weekends and we'll put you to work!
