There was talk earlier that trail 13 north of root cellar was closed due to logging and that it was expected to reopen, has this happened or has it remained closed?

The Weather has been quiet, and today’s forecast shows a 50% chance of snow today. Fingers crossed. When John Dee says the weather is quiet – you know it is. Good news is that the temperatures are cold – single digit cold. Trails have been reported to be in good condition. Dave on the South end is just finishing up now and says trails are in good shape and groomers are running daily. Big Bergland news is Trail # 13 from Bergland to the Root Cellar is finally open!

Speaking of Trail 13...

How is the Cisco Chain from UP13 south to Bents Camp?

Thanks!
The Cisco chain is marked with the barrels and if you stay close to them it is pretty good, if you go to the soft snow there is a lot of slush. There are some caution areas where you cross land if you get off the main trail there is open water and where the barrels are really close stay near them because there is some thin spots.

Thanks goofy!

Bents Camp is a cool place to stop for lunch, hoping we can get there across the lakes!

Things should freeze up over the next week!
