Trail 8 from baraga to ishpheming

Hey, does anybody know whats going on on trail 8 East to Ishpheming? There was supposed to be a bridge getting emergency repairs on the grade??
Will hopefully be going that way next Sunday....but there are no reports

The last "official" report on the trail closure/bridge out issue came from MI DNR on 12/15, with an estimated re-opening date of "mid-January". Have not heard any news or reports since then on progress or updated re-opening date.

If it's not open for your ride coming up, you may want to look north. You could go Baraga to Lanse and continue east on trail 14, then either head down trail 5 to hook back up with 8, or continue to big bay and head down to Marquette/Ishpeming from there. The bridge that is out/section of trail that is closed is just west of where trail 5 connects with trail 8 (in the M95/M28 junction area).
