G groomerdriver New member Nov 17, 2014 #3 Somebody needs to take a chainsaw and cut a 45 degree (or steeper) angle into that 4x4 so the snow falls off of the post. Seal the top with a thin layer of silicone so the wood has less of a chance to hold the snow.
