I only was able to get a few pics from the trail clean-up session but I guess it's a start. There were 8-10 of us on Saturday and Sat was the only day I was able to work. I am amazed that myself and Steve drove 150 miles to help out and we had by far the shortest drive of anyone there. Anyways, BIG thanks to Troy at the Lac La Belle Lodge for spoiling up rotten for just spending a day in the woods screwing around with a chainsaw. I actually feel a little guilty because I have met so may neat people and had so much fun that I should be paying him. After our "work" was done we all got together (after a few beers and burgers courtesy of Troy) sat in the big house, drinking beer and telling snowmobile stories, while watching snowmobile videos, like old friends. Much fun and if you are reading this thread, sign up next year. It's not hard work and alot of fun with gearheads just like you. Anyway here are the pics I was able to get with my group
P.S. special thanks to engine9man for bring us fresh Kringle...mmmmmmmm yummy

Looks like a good time, sucks that I couldn't make it up this year to help. Surprised to see that many leaves still on the trees. Very pretty.

I'll be there next year god willing... We have the nasty flu and I have seriously hurt my hip, sounds like an old guy thing but I will need about 6 weeks to get back to snuff...

Wanted to get up and help, but the WI AWSC had their fall meeting this weekend, and being that I am a county director that's where I spent my weekend. Would rather have been out in the woods.

It was a pretty awesome weekend. My group made it up late Thursday night. To our surprise we had the whole big house @ Lac to ourselves. What a place! Thanks to Troy and his Family and staff for putting us up for the weekend. It was great being out in the woods with friends doing some much needed work. Great to meet hang out with crew that was able to make it. Look forward to it next year and meeting even more folks who share the same love of the woods and the sport we all can't seem to get enough of.

Well Trish, Buddy and I made it home safe and sound. Thanks a million to Troy & Kathy for the cabin. It was great to be back in the Keewanaw again. We enjoyed working trails and talking snowmobiling with everyone, can't wait for the snow to fly and maybe do some riding with the great people we met.

Mike, nice pics! Kind of wish I had brought my camera now… Yeah, it was a great time! Met some great folks that love to be in the great outdoors like myself. Glad we were able to help.
Troy and Zach, thanks for letting me tag along into the woods to work on the trails with you guys. Also Troy, thanks for putting us up in your wonderful guesthouse. The food on Saturday night was greatly appreciated too. My brother and I will for sure return next year to help!

Thanks a ton for all of your help everyone. Sounds like it was even more fun than last year and I am really bummed that I missed it. Actually words cannot describe how badly I wished I had been well enough to get out there. I guess there is always next year!

Thanks again for coming all the way to help us out, it is that kind of attitude towards the sport that will not only keep it going, bet even make it stronger for the future.

This trail clearing event always looked to be a great time. Getting out in the woods and hitting the trails.

How much trail distance do you get on the weekend?

I am considering changing my agenda for my yearly Oct. trip to da UP.

My wife and i had a great time!. We met some of the nicest peolple ever. (Hopfully we can hook up with them and do some ridin this year.) We spent 2 days in the woods with Chaz the groomer driver and let me tell you, we have never met anyone that is more proud of the trails he grooms and he doesnt even ride a snowmobile. His love of the Keeweenaw and outlook on life made the whole expierence awesome. I think Chaz considers himself one of the luckiest guys in the world to live where he does. I think he is right! I hope we can bump into him again (not literally) on the trail sometime.
And a huge thanks goes out to Troy and Cathy and all the folks at Lac Labelle lodge. I highly recommend everyone make this place a stop on every trip to the Keeweeenaw. Great food, very comfortable lodging, a store that has everything could need and its located in one of the most beautiful spots in all of the UP. Troy is a great guy that made us feel right at home. We can't wait come back and stay again this winter. By the time we left it felt more like we were staying at a friends house then at a lodge somewhere. We have already decided we will come back to help again next year. I have a few pics but just cant get them to load.

Hey guys/gals nice picks it looks like work but I'm sure its a good time. I appreciate the work you guys/gals do to make it possible for us to come up and enjoy the trails. A group of us from Iowa get together and put signs across open fields for trails.. Thats all we have but it is just as fun for us as enjoying a ride.
