Trail conditions at tower, mn - lake vermillion

In tower we received around 6 inches of snow the past 7 days. The trails took a beating on Saturday with highs getting up to 40ish and sunny. The temps are supposed to drop and the trails should be able to recover by next weekend. The lakes are smooth with a little bit of slush here and there. The few pressure ridges have actually gotten smaller in the past few weeks. I heard they are going to cancel the Little Fork Splash because of poor ice on the Little Fork River. The Vermilion River was great last weekend, but I have not been on it after yesterday’s warm up. We are planning to ride from Tower to the North Shore next Friday and I really don’t think there will be any issues.
