Arrived Feb 7 staying at root cellar, lake gogebic not fast and flat as usual run into a lot of slush crossing and especially at north end of Lake from hoop n hollar into berg land to get gas at Mobil trails are bad took 8 down to trail 3, 8 was fast and flat. Took 3 north tr as il was good, rode up to misquito inn, trails were good, food was good and friendly people. Took 12 back to bergland... not good, very wash board in areas, really made up for all the good riding prior to. Gased up in bergland again except got on lake at park to avoid trails and ran into ALOT of slush. Saw groomer on east side of Lake trail when we came in, going to try than on our way out today.

Put on 600 miles 2.5 days trails around bergland still a little rough on Tuesday trail 12 was good in morning but once fresh snow was gone was back to washboard up until you entered ottowa forest to rockland, by the way if you haven't stopped at henry's never inn in rockland, highly recommend it, great people and great food. headed over to silver mountain and there is a lot of logging in area on the way and the road is plowed pretty clear for quite a ways, even though it is a seasonal un plowed road, trust me it is plowed pretty clear most of the way. trail 8 was getting a bit washboard, trail 3 out of ewen up to twin lakes was pretty good, washboard between twin lakes and southrange, then good and fast, lots of blowing and drifting up to calumet. looped down through larium down to Houghton was flat and fast. east side of Gogebic trail was flat and good. It got up to 40 degrees on sunday when we arrived and was raining, then got really cold and everything froze. groomers have had a lot of variables to deal with this year and think they are doing the best they can, have ridden better and worse but no complaints considering the weather rollercoaster this year.
