Does anyone know if the trails around watersmeet, land o and gogebic area are rideable enough for a trip from the 27-30? Thanks and merry Christmas.

I have not been on the trails yet, but I have driven by them and sleds are out and people are riding. Lando groomers are running every night. I'm sure you can ride and have a good time and yes I bet you will run into some not so good but spots too Hope this helps you some.

Drove that area yesterday to and from families houses and from Bruce crossing over towards Lake Gogebic looked very thin. Bergland up towards is mighty thin as well. As Lenny said about the Greenland conditions they are OK but wouldn't trailer very far to ride them.

Think Snow.

Thanks for the help. Going to wait until Friday morning to make our decision and see if they don't pick up any last second snow!

Root Cellar Resort and Restaurant posted an update on their Facebook page today that sounded pretty promising:

Not sure where they get their weather forecast but the ones I've seen are calling for maybe flurries from now through the new year...

There is between 6" and 8" on the ground so there isn't much on the trails. Put any sort of traffic on them and you will be to nothing in no time flat.

I would be very careful with snow that has not fallen yet or you will be sucked into marginal area conditions at best. We would all like more snow & has to be wide spread or just keep it to short rides or lake riding if that is what you want to do that is doable.
