Trail From Ironwood to Wakefield

The wife and I are hoping to ride from the Comfort Inn in Ironwood to Wakefield and then the trail system East and North. Is there a trial out of Ironwood going that way? We stayed in Ironwood last year and trailered to Hurley to ride the WI trails, which were great. This year we thought we would try the upper Michigan trails. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We are driving from Manitoba.

Trail 2 will take you from Ironwood to the back side of Wakefield... Once you get to wakefield though, you will have to take authorized county roads or city streets to get any farther.

The Mi-TRALE ORV Trails on that end begin in Marenisco. That is where the IRM Trail is. We are working on getting the grade from Wakefield to Marenisco opened. We are not involved in any trail from Ironwood east.

I would suggest you contact the Ironwood Chamber to make sure that the grade from Ironwood to Wakefield is open. I think the Gogebic Range Trail Authority is working on that.
