After the last thirteen months in TN I am trying to catch up on everything to be ready for the up coming season. Sled is ready to go so I have turned my attention to my trailer. I was unable to do anything with the trailer last year before I left. It is time to replace the plywood deck, while removing the plywood I noticed a lot corrosion on the axle this I believe is caused by dissimilar metals of the steel U bolts on the aluminum axle.
So now I am stripping the whole thing to clean the axle and coat with epoxy in hopes of keeping this from happening again. I am glad I started this at home the lugs were so tight it took a 24 inch breaker bar to break them loose,so I will be cleaning them up good before putting back together.
