Trailer Roof Leaking

I don't know if this has been covered before but I have an aluminum 2008 10' x 12' enclosed 2 place that I keep the sleds in. During the summer months the trailer is in storage where it has a roof over it but during the winter it stays in the driveway. I have had it about 6 years now and have noticed that the roof is leaking and is getting a little worse each season. Any suggestions on a good product to apply to the entire roof to seal it up?

Find the leak and caulk it. Doubtful the entire roof is leaking if it is you have a tear going on maybe due to extreme snowload damage.

It's not a single spot and there is no visible holes. It is leaking from multiple spots where the rivets attach the aluminum skin to the interior framework.

Get that black seal stuff advertised on TV where the guy sprays on open screen bottom of small aluminum boat and seals out water. Flexseal or something like that.

Flexseal doesn't work. They make a black caulk that works pretty good. It might be in the roofing section of the home improvement store because I think it's made for flashing.

Most manufacture's have a 15 to 20 year warranty on roof for rotting or decay but if not i would silicon it or use the black caulk they use to put on windshields

O s I quad or osi quad max... exterior grade caulking .. home center in paint area about 8 bucks a tube... windows siding and doors.. works real good don’t use silicone you will still have a leak and it’s a pain to clean up once cured

I figured I may need to do my trailer roof in a couple years. I camp in it so needs to not leak.
My thinking was to coat entire roof with the type of liquid rubber roof coating they use on mobile homes. Roll on with paint roller, nice and thick cures well and bonds to aluminum and rubber/ plastic.

This is along the lines of what I was looking for. I don't want to turn the top of the trailer into a bumpy mess. Looking for something that lays down well and will last for more than a season or two without making the trailer look trashy. Others must have had the same issue and dealt with it. Anyone who has, what did you use and what were the results?

Flexseal is at Walmart. Seen cans of it + the tape at the '20 items or less' check out line. I tried the white spray on my metal garage roof where some of the fasteners were leaking and it stopped it for over 5 yrs now and was easy to apply.

Go to an RC dealership/store. They have a multitude of items to fix your problem. Depending on the type of roof you have Google RV Armor, Inc.

Yep, Phil Smith will fix it! Just look at what he can do!

have you tired going to a GOOD RV shop, they sell roof coatings made for RV's, that seal, flex and last.
But I would also say odds are its only leaking in a few spots and just water travels making it look like more
JB weld is a great fro fixing long term on holes in aluminum, and easy to do, a couple tubes will cover all your rivets I think and be done for yrs!
but is more time consuming!
there are very HIGH end epoxy coatings too that work awesome but they are FAR from cheap, and can be applied as thick as you wish, will flex and last decades!, but again they will not be cheap
this is a very good one if your looking!
https://sanitred.com/
can be applied as thick as you wish to make it and remains flexible

I went through the pain of trying to find a roof leak on my camper. Chased it for 2 years trying different caulk and flex seal, before I decided to do it correct way.
The leak usually comes from an area you least expect it. That's the frustrating part!

I ordered this: https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Roof-...d=1525459413&sr=1-1&keywords=Liquid+Rubber+rv
MFG website here: https://www.epdmcoatings.com/liquid-rubber.php

For the bigger holes and seams, I applied Eternabond tape first. https://www.amazon.com/EternaBond-RSW-4-50-RoofSeal-Sealant-White-x/dp/B002RSIK4G
Then painted on the material.

Turned out fantastic, and no leaks!

That size was for my 30' camper, so you will not need as much.
