Trailer sealant/protectant ?

Just spent 1/2 a day buffing out my 6 yr old 3plc R&R in line trailer. It's black and buffing was the only way I could find to remove the film & oxidation. I'm looking for suggestions to protect the finish ( keep it looking good for a while ). There used to be some teflon sealants & spray on waxes that used to work good on automotive coatings but I can't find something " PROVEN " for this black aluminum trailer. I personally hate when my stuff looks like junk. Buffing the x-tall trailer was a lot of work. I'm planning on using " Sharkhide " on the diamond plate aluminum along the bottom but looking for something for the top.

Any Input ?

If you use Sharkhide make sure you apply the protectant as well. It will oxidize quickly if you don't and the work will be for nothing.

I was just going to use the protectant on the bare aluminum. I just bought new fenders and some misc components to freshen up the rig. Do you mean the cleaner ?

The sharkhide will act like a cleaner if you're using a buffer. I don't know if the cleaner is needed but I'm sure it would be help prior to using the polish.

I just spent $$$ on SS Polar Cam locks, piano hinges, d-rings, screws ect... I want to protect all that stuff some of it is galvanized, I hope it works on that stuff. I'm replacing everything that is tore up or rusted. Over 6 years there is that " galvanic corrosion " thing that goes on . I store it outside which I'm sure doesn't help.
