I have decided it’s time to put a new set of tires on the trailer. I have an 8.5’x12’ drive on/drive off with a fiberglass top, don’t remember the tire size off the top of my head but it is the taller stile not the short tires that are more common. I am going to go with an aluminum rim as I am tired of the steel ones looking like crap after a year or two. So I was looking on line to get some prices (for rim and tire) and then I called the local shop a few miles from my house to see if his price was in the same ball park (if so yup I would go with him). His price was competitive but has says I need to get the tires mounted (which he would do) and then get the tire/rim combo balanced (which he would also do for an added cost).
My question is has any one heard of balancing a trailer tire?
