Trailer track/ski mat ideas

Holy good lord mother of god. Just picked up a new trailer and was pricing out ski glides and track matting. Was looking at caliber as its seems to be great stuff. I have a 22' box plus 4'V front and rear doors. Priced this stuff out and I was over $1000. Wondering if anyone has some suggestions or ideas. New trailer so definitely need to protect it but that is kind of insane.

Agree protection is crazy expensive but have to do it. Look online for best pricing all of mfgs is simular so best\ price is what you are looking for.

Regarding the track mats, I noticed you are from Burlington there is a place in Kenosha that is a manufacture of horse stall mats call Linear rubber products on 46th st you may want to call them and see if they have any scraps that they would sell the stuff is super thick and very heavy but works very well. The product is run through a mill and has fibrous material added to it (super strong) you may have to cut it to size. The other option would be conveyor material from a quarry works very well but you need to know someone to get scrape.

The pieces of cut up bedliner that are on my 18 year old Sled Bed are still working like new. As Sweeperguy mentioned, cut up pieces from an old track work great.

What about putting down 1/2 press board. Cheap when it gets beat up cheap enough to just pull out and put down a new piece as needed.

What is the current deck made of. My Legend is so tough the carbides don't bother at all. Had one studded sled in it and the guy let it spin to get out and you can't even see it. No damage at all to the deck, but the load and exit door edges are starting to see a little wear. I wouldn't bother with protecting it if it's the same stuff I got. This will be the 4th year I've had it.
