Tranny trouble? 2002 Dodge ram 1500slt 4x4

Having trouble with my truck. Start it up couple days ago let it warm for 10min. or so....hop in put in reverse start backing out.....BAM!!! It comes to dead stop like i back into something....shift to drive pull forward couple feet check behind me nothing....reverse back out driveway all is ok. Same sinario agn yesterday.....what the heck acts like it is jumping back into park or something.....anyone else ever have this or know what is going on. Drives fine no slipping or anything like that fluid is ok....only does it in reverse?

lube up the all the linkage going to tranny, might be binding up and not allowing it to go into gear completly! worked for me!! simple fix! 99 ram

i had a 01 dodge 1500 with the 5.9, 105,000 miles,rebuild front end once and replaced the tranny at 50,000 almost exactly.at 100,000 the tranny started making noise in reverse and slipping when it was cold
