Travel through Nashville....

Today we were passing through Nashville for the 7th time in about as many years, and need to return through the area Friday. I can not stress enough how absolutely miserable it's been every time in the area. The traffic congestion is terrible. After we get home this weekend, I hope I never need to travel through that miserable mess ever again. Atlanta is better. We are looking at going way out of the way around on the way home. Our son graduates from basic training Friday. We'd like to get home as quickly as possible, but Nashville is definitely going to slow us down. Sorry for the rant, but I feel better now. 😜

I'll travel over 50-100 miles to get around Nashville. It's the worst!

From central indiana down to florida we used to always take 65 to 24 to 75. But I got so sick of that area on both ends of 24. I go out 74 now to 75. Wish I could avoid atlanta now and I'd be set.

Same. I'll jump off of 24 before Nashville and hit 65 again down near Franklin, TN. We stay West of Atlanta, but Birmingham is always another treat.

Dang, don't remind me. Will be driving to FL in a couple of weeks and have to go through there. After driving there last year, I said I would not drive again and would fly. As luck would have it, airfare was ridiculous and now we're going to be driving again. From other's reports too, the FL traffic has multiplied since last year as well. I do not look forward to this. Ugh.

Coming up from Birmingham today. We got off 65 onto 50 and went through Columbia and Dickson to Clarksville. Beautiful country and no traffic stress. Hopefully never see Nashville again.

Our kids have separate spring breaks this year so we're not all going. Just got my wife and 2 younger ones tickets to visit family down there. It wasn't too bad on southwest, but theyr'e only flying from indiana.

That would be a heck of a drive from the kee.

Just so happens that we’re just south of Atlanta ready to continue up 75. Going directly through Atlanta in the express lanes, picking up 24 in Chattanooga and then going straight through Nashville We’re hoping that Saturday traffic brings us some luck. The hotel desk clerk is telling us to get on the road by 7:00am this morning. Departing in 30 minutes.

Just checked in in Bloomington, IL. Minimal traffic issues. Lots of snow birds heading north after leaving at month end. I would travel this route again on Saturday or Sunday. Never again during week day rush hour traffic. Next year we’re flying and renting a car.

We just got home, stayed in Clarksville last night. Today was very relaxing. I'll never travel through Nashville again. Glad you had a good day too.

Just got home, fired up systems and the damn septic system is screwed. Frozen lateral, tank or drain field. My plumber hooked me up with a septic guy who has not returned my voicemail message yet. No big deal, we’re home and happy. Now what happened to the Oneida Co snow gods? 😂. It looks like Houghton is the answer for later in the week.
