I will be traveling into canada next week, wondering if anyone knows if you have to show proof of insurance on your sled. People have told me that you do at customs in order to cross

Don't you have to have a passport as well? Either way you probably shouldn't be driving a sled if you don't have insurance. If you do, you should have your card. no big deal.

Canada

You now MUST have a passport and proof of Insurance for the sled. Plus trail stickers..expensive,something like $100 3 day pass or $150 yearly trail pass. $35 in Michigan. The OPP are always out in force checking for valid paperwork. If you don't get caught speed'n and you have the proper paperwork they leave you alone. If not gonna cost you BIG $$ in fines. So be careful around towns...but some of the best sled'n we ever have done ! Check trail conditions to where you are going. Canada closes trails and you can not ride on them at all. Heard there were areas with out snow this year but that can change in one storm. Have fun !

A lot of the water crossings never opened this year. Call ahead to local clubs for updates and have a good time, wee wee.
