Trip out west

I'm planning a trip to the Rockies the first week of April, but I need some help. I need some advise on where to go...........
Island Park, Togwotee, West Yellowstone or any other area you think is awesome. We're experienced riders looking for good trails and some powder play. Checking air fare, it looks as though we can fly into Bozeman Mt. cheaper than anywhere else and rent a SUV for the trip. Can you also recommend places to stay and outfitters, because we'll be renting sleds but bringing our own gear. Thanks for your help.

Another option is to fly into Salt Lake City and drive to Alpine or IP. Southwest flies there so you can get your gear checked free, something to think about when pricing out flights. We rented from the Rockin M in Alpine and in IP from Mountain Mayhem, both good people to deal with.

I have ridden Big Mountain near Kalispel/White Fish. It is North of Bozeman. About 2 hours I think.

Rented from this company and had a guide take me out. Incredible!! Although you can't beat the Jackson Hole, WY area either. Depends on how much $$$ you want to spend and how much time you have to travel.

White Fish is a very cool, small town. Great Northern Brewery, Bulldog Saloon and Big Mountain ski lodge (where the ski bunnies are). Plenty of places to stay.

I would consider Cooke City. I have been to several destination and believe this in the best experience available. No trailering to trail, a town that 100% caters to the snowmobiling, a unique location and most importantly an epic riding experience.

Several places offer rentals including Cooke City Exxon, Cooke city motorsports and bearclaw bobs. The town is full of great people and by the time you leave you will feel like you are leaving friends.

Dont thank me now but in april you will understand what i am talking about.

All true about Cooke City, but the guy is asking about good trails and SOME powder. I would steer them towards IP and West yellowstone for a better mix. Cookes trails are primarily for the purpose to get you to the steep and deep. Most of Cookes trails are marked but not groomed especially in the area of "Top of the World" this is also noted on the trail maps they have in Cooke for the area. From what rkw asks in his post, I would say Island Park covers the most bases with trail grooming, signage, gas stops, places to eat, amount of things to see and the amount of trails. Then there is also plenty of places to "off Trail" without worry of really getting lost, lost.

My vote for all around riding, is Island Park ID, Stay at http://www.islandparkrentals.com/ and they also have sled rentals available, fly into Idaho Falls. Mt second area is Togwotee Pass, fly into Jackson WY, stay at Togwotee Mtn Lodge, or Lava Mtn Lodge. Both areas have awesome off trail as well as over 600+ miles of marked, groomed trails.
