Truck Tranny

I have a 1994 Chevrolet K-10 4X4 with 198,000 miles. It was running great and all the sudden the speedometer, odometer, and the Four Wheel drive stopped working and the tranny started acting up. The tranny shifts excellent in first and second gear but when it hits third, it does not shift and just slips. If you shift back into second, it works great. Takes off like a rocket but when it hits 3rd gear nothing. Its an automatic with overdrive. Any ideas? I cant spend a lot of money!

Change the transmission fluid and filter and put some Lucas transmission additive in it see if that helps.

It is the original tranny.

Would
the plastic thing affect the odometer and speedometer,?

there is a speed sensor on there you need to check for a correct diagnosis

Does that impeller have something to do with valve body? I burnt up a valve body towing boat in OD.
