Drove by today after gassing up at Krupps and saw a guy working on the pumps and a now hiring sign up.

Never was much of a fan of using a swipe card where I shop but if you shop Pick and Save/Kroger and fill up at a BP station, you can use the "points card" and accumulated points to get up to $1.00 off a gallon of gas X up to 35 gallons a month.

Not sure of the gas flag, if I remember correctly it was even a Marathon before being a B.P.

Speaking fuel and pricing, I was surprised and gouged at the same time on a non ethanol sled fill up from 2 stations only 8 miles apart via trail.
Local Shell was 40 cents less than the citgo.....Citgo only lists low grade and diesel on the sign.

unbranded or not, will be nice to have a station around there that hopefully you can pay at the pump, been through there many times after krupps has closed and would feel much more comfortable with more gas in the tank. I thought krupps was talking about changing pumps so you could pay at them but as of last year still had to go inside, on the downside will affect their daytime fuel sales as the trail cuts right across the front of the station. was worth stopping for gas at krupps just for the free smells when you went inside to pay
It is gonna be unbranded

Yup it's a sweet deal just paid 1:69 a gallon to fill my truck up last week.

I'm surprised they are still not open. They have been plowing snow for over a month around the new pumps.

BTW, it is a pleasant surprise to see some new gas options over the past couple of years. It is easier to find good gas now. Also like pay at the pump options so we can ride later. Those 100 mile dinner runs can get a little hairy when stations start to close.

Maybe gas station permits and liquor permits come from the same office....OR they will also sell liquor or at least beer/ hard cider at the gas station,,,,whooo-hooo!.

It was odd that spot closed in the first place. Seemed like a great location for all seasons. It wasn't a dump, and seemed to do a good business, at least in the winter when I'd see it.

Glad to have it back.

A gas station can't make it on just gas sales. With pay at the pump, nobody goes in and buys anything that the gas station can make money on.

timo:) Yeah we played hard ball together and his nickname is Kit! He's been waiting on his beer and wine license otherwise he would've been open by now. He wants everything to be in place and he'll get it right for you all. I've already been helping him with a list of what to stock for sledders. It's all good!

Everyone pays at the pump now.
Even if I am going in for something. ....

that is true because it sucks to have to go in and pre-pay. In my travels half the gas stations require you to go inside to pre-pay/give them your card or whatever then go back outside and fill up. I will also say that if i want something inside...I will go inside whether I pre-pay or not. Cards accepted at the pumps do not make me buy less. I don't do any impulse buying at a gas station. I don't need a cardboard air freshener on my sled :tongue-new:
