What a great trip. The snow was deep enough to find out what the new RMK can do, and the weather was great also. 83 miles in three days of riding. Our longest trail ride was from Krupp's to Dan's Polaris and back. After that run Wednesday morning, we were no more than 10 miles from Krupp's all week. Awesome.

My buddy Joe has been having problems with heat build up in the clutches of his RMK 900 while boondocking since he bought it. We decided to re-gear it to see if that would help. When he bought it, as a demo leftover, the dealer said he used it twice out west. Imagine our surprise when we pulled the chaincase cover off Wednesday morning to find the upper gear at 26T and the lower at 37T!! Stock is supose to be 19/39. What the... I cannot understand why it was geared that way? Stupid to say the least. This is a MOUNTAIN SLED, not a lake racer. Anyways, we changed the gearing to 19/43, and now he has no heat build up issues at all. Now the thing ROCKS.

Anyways here are a few pics. Lots of stuck pics. I bet there was at least 30-40 stucks in three days. What a blast. LOL.

Re-gearing the 9 hundy RMK Wed morning.

Thats polaris for ya..Sorry Skylar im surprised you jumped ship from doo?? Not sure what your thinking was LOL! As you can see most of Team Henessey has Polaris and all we are doing is lifting the hoods? carb problems? Gearing problems ,chainchase blow outs ..three since last year and the oldest sled is a 2001 and with all sleds under 3k of miles on them. i have talked with even polaris mech. And they still say polaris lets you the buyer find all the faults in there products ....Not enough research... And i think that is proven by them in the last few years...Sorry guys i dont want to make all of you mad for what i have said ...But how many of you polaris owners have said this machine is far superior to any other?? Just my 2 cents.

Zero problems with my 07 in 936 miles. Doo has their problems too. Both my 600 Gade and my brothers 04 600 Doo Doo's required new pistons and rings, my brothers intake boots delaminated, lucky we caught the problem before we had a lean seizure, last year the jackshaft bearing went out on my bro's 600 also. I blew a chain on my 600 last year, which then went through the chaincase. So, Doo's aren't bullet proof by any means. They ALL have problems.

I'm not brand loyal at all, I buy what suits my needs.

Also, the gearing problem was the fault of the dealer he bought it from, not Polaris.

Joe and I headed up this hill he was off to my right when he had to turn to avoid a tree, he then tried to side hill above me, where I was stuck, and then he got stuck, wish I would have gotten his run on video.

NIce pics Skylar!

Our last trip (a week ago) was awesome too. Haven't gotten a chance to get pics uploaded yet. Our ride with John was cut short, due to his broken radius rod...RATs! We only put on 15 miles on Saturday near South Range...stuck stuck stuck stuck and Stuck! I was leading 8 others most with short tracks, cept for John Stachler's new M6 ride..(a nice one!). We'll be out there next weekend and then starting Thursday for the Ride-In...woohoo! I'll email you as time gets closer.

***Scottiking*** I just laugh when i have to turn around cause another polaris has its hood up....Tell me this is not the truth..seems like the last 2years its been like this in are group... And it was just my 2 cents on the frustration i would have if i owned one. Thats why i went to Doo. And i had to give skylar a lil crap!
