It finally happened, at&t got 3 more towers online last week. So, in the west yoop there is now at&t towers in Twin Lakes, Rogers Bar (Marinesco), and Covington. Add in the new tower in Lake Linden (back in December) and we are doing much better for coverage.

I travel Onto-Houghton frequently and the majority of the trip now has coverage. It has several areas where it is weak or drops, but a huge portion is now usable for att customers.

I live in a black hole where I live in northern Clare county. When I first purchased my cabin in 1997 we had to drive 3 miles to get cell service atop a large hill. Now I can get a signal by steppin out onto the front porch but the signal is still weak.

Not always a good thing. some of us like to be "out of touch" when we come up there! :)

Actually, It's about time. there is no good reason that towers aren't abundant throughout the M-28 corridor.

you could always leave the cell at home and be "out of touch," that is, if you really wanted to. An individual makes the decision to stay out of touch, not the presence of a tower, right?

PT - that's what I'm talkin about! My phone would 'beep' to let me know I had service by standing in my garage doorway but only if facing SW with the phone facing NW while upside down and hopping on 1 foot while waving the arm not holding the phone. :O

Oh-oh, you shouldn't let that signal loose on da road, it might run away! Better keep it on a tight leash! :)
