As John wrote in the journal yesterday, the 2nd annual wood cutting party will be on Saturday, August 20th at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time at John's house. Remember, John will be making us brisket!

We hope to see some of you there!

Everyone is welcome to come, even if it's just for a couple of hours! The more we have the better.

the crew kicked major butt!!!

Steve (rp7x) runs a saw like I've never seen before, the 12 cord went fast.

Mission accomplished!

rp7x and I just got home from the wood cutting party. We worked 1 1/2 hours Friday late afternoon and then put in 5 hours today, and finished all 12 chords, cut and stacked in John's new wood shed. There were 5 of us total, including John.

A huge thanks to rp7x, Lenny and Owen for helping out! Owen is a local high school student that came out to help and really worked hard! He and Lenny made a big difference and we never could have gotten it all done without them. John worked his tail off too, as he stacked most of the wood himself. He seems to be making great progress in his recovery.

The brisket John made for us was excellent, and everyone really enjoyed it. The weather was perfect for us and it really couldn't have gone much better. It's always nice to visit the Keweenaw! :)

Mark, glad you and Steve made it home safely.

A huge thanks to you two and Lenny and Owen. It is amazing that we got all 12 cord done in that time! I am very fortunate to have friends like you all to come up and help me with my chores.

I keep looking out and just can't believe all that wood is stacked in the shelter and ready to keep us warm this winter!

Thanks a ton!

Thanks John! It worked out good, Steve was nice enough to head home and I was able to make my 7:18 tee time this morning. ;) My biceps are a little sore, otherwise I feel pretty good.

Glad to hear all went well , we were able to meet Duece and get a autographed pic of Bob for you. I hit your friend up for a donation for the ride in, said he'll round us up some gear!! Nice guy, and very busy, 75 min. between rounds to rebuild a complete motor, it's amazing!
