Update from Colorado

Just talked with my Grand Lake contact and things are still looking a bit grim for our Grand Lake trip Feb. 7-12. Here's the good news he is always on the freshy, freshy so he informed me that we have nothing to worry about, that is if 15 feet of snow is nothing to worry about. He's been battling 4-6 feet of fresh powder that has fallen this last week and that's on top of 8-10 feet of pack. He's thinking that we'll be doin a little driving to get to the hot spots but he said that there's more snow than we can handle when we get there. Sounds like a challenge to me!! Anyways, I think you can go southwest or north/northwest of denver/grand lake and there is lots of freshy, and thats what were lookin for.

Grand Lake or Bust

We are flyin out tomorrow, we will see. Sounds better than it did last week. Steamboat is good. Snow still coming. Backcountry is always good if you can find it. Need more coverage, for sure, to hide the rocks. Pics to come. Have fun.
