Im trying to figure out what kind of slip-ons to buy to put on my 09 Fatboy. Im looking at V&H or Rush. I would love to put a full system on but cant afford it. What you guys think?

Forgot to mention...don't go LOUD...Sounds cool for the first couple weeks...then just gets annoying! I have the Vance and Hines Big Shot Staggered on an '08 FLSTC. Good Power, but They are a bit noisy.

Go with the V&H, I've owned 3 sets of slip-ons, and 3 full systems, I wouldnt even think of buying anything else. Best performance, best sound, and best quality!

Vance and Hines. Best quality and sound out there. Have never had an issue. I use them on every custom I build. I have also run Rinehart on my bagger. Good quality and sound.

I have Vance & Hines on my 08' Ultra. Love the sound!! Nice deep tone. Can be subtle if you want to be, but when you get on it, people definitely know you're coming.

My buddy has a set of Rush slip ons on his 08' Street Glide. Nice sound as well, but definitely different. A bit louder, but not as throaty sounding. As far as looks go, I like the look of the Vance and Hines better. V&H has a beefier look-the Rush pipes are a smaller diameter.

Thanks for all the input. I was leaning towards the V&H because they are a bit cheaper too. Not that cheap is always a good thing but in this case it is.

I'll throw another option out there. Remove the baffles from your stockers.

On my Deuce, I've got the stage 4 kit from when Screamin Eagle still made them. Kept the look of the stock pipes to make for a nice sleeper.

Besides, it can't hurt if/when LEO start pressing the noise issue in areas you ride.

I have an 07 FLSTC with Vance and Hines with the baffles in, my brother has an 08 with stock slip ons and had the dealer cut out the baffles for $50, sounds much better than the V&H, lower deeper tone.

Im going to go with V&H. Do you guys know if I will need to get a Stage 1 Kit or anything? Some people say yes and some say I wont need to do anything to it. Thanks

ok first you can no longer do that with the new HD....what year is your deuce??My dads friend went that route with a 06 dresser and the drill stuck in the baffle...

as far as POWER goes you wont beat the D&D Phatcats they have been proven on the dyno...

If you guys need anything bike related or work on your bikes give Brian A call he the best around.....
